Welcome to Q&A Community!
To make sure we're aligned and avoid from any misunderstanding, please let me know a few details about your issue by answering these questions:
- Are you signed in with a personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com), an education account (e.g., @school.edu), or a work account (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
- Which OS are you using and may I know your OS and Excel version?
- Can you clarify what you mean by "linking Excel to a dropping list in Forms"? Would you like to add the excel link or file to the Questions or Options? A visual example would be of great help.
If you want to add the Excel file as a Question, you can insert image of the file.
If you want to add various Options from Excel to Forms at once, you can:
- Open the Excel file and copy the list of values you want for the dropdown.
- In Microsoft Forms, create a Choice question and paste the values into the options field.
- Forms will automatically split them into separate options.
- Whenever the Excel list changes, repeat the copy-paste process.
If you want to add a hyperlink to the options that include the excel files, you can go to Share > copy Link to this workbook > paste the link to the options on Excel form. Then, you can go to the excel file by just clicking on the link.
Please feel free to correct if there are any misunderstandings.
