    Hi @Matthew T,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding to your question, you've successfully added the Analysis ToolPak and Solver Add-in, but they’re not showing up in the Data tab. This can happen due to a few common reasons.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:

    1/ Confirm Add-ins Are Enabled

    • Go to File > Options > Add-ins
    • At the bottom, in the Manage box, select Excel Add-ins and click Go

    User's image

    • Make sure Analysis ToolPak and Solver Add-in are both checked
    • Click OK

    2/ Check the Data Tab

    • After enabling, go to the Data tab
    • You should see Solver and Data Analysis in the Analyze group

    User's image

    3/ Restart Excel

    • Sometimes changes don’t take effect until Excel is restarted

    4/ Check for Conflicting Add-ins

    • Go back to File > Options > Add-ins
    • In the Manage box, select COM Add-ins and click Go

    User's image

    • Disable any third-party add-ins that might interfere

    5/ Repair Office Installation

    If the issue persists:

    • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features

    • Select Microsoft 365, then click Change
    • Choose Quick Repair or Online Repair

    Hi @Matthew T,

Thank you for sharing the screenshots and confirming that the add-ins are checked. Since the Data Analysis and Solver still don’t appear in the Data tab, here are some additional steps you can try:

    1/ Verify Ribbon Customization

    • Go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon.
    • In the right pane, ensure Data is checked and expanded.
    • Under Data, confirm that Data Analysis or Solver commands are not hidden. If they’re missing, you can reset the ribbon by clicking Reset > Reset all customizations.

2/ Check Excel Version and Licensing

    • The Data Analysis and Solver are available in most desktop versions of Excel, but if you’re using Excel for the web or a restricted edition, these features may not appear.
    • Go to File > Account > About Excel and confirm you’re on a desktop version like Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise or Excel 2021.

3/ Enable VBA Add-in (Optional but Helpful)

    • In File > Options > Add-ins, select Excel Add-ins > Go.
    • Check Analysis ToolPak – VBA as well. This sometimes resolves visibility issues when macros or automation are involved.

4/ Check for Group Policy or Admin Restrictions

    • If you’re on a managed device (corporate or school), IT policies might block certain add-ins from loading.
    • Also, if you are opening Excel in Safe Mode (hold Ctrl while launching Excel) the add-ins may disappear. If they do, the issue is likely caused by a policy or another add-in or customization that only loads in normal mode.

5/ Create a New Excel Profile

    • Corrupted user profiles can prevent add-ins from loading properly.
    • Close Excel, then rename the Excel folder in: %appdata%\Microsoft\
    • Restart Excel (it will create a fresh profile). Re-enable the add-ins and check if they appear.

Please note that the first response may not always resolve the issue right away. With your feedback and additional details, we can work together to find the best solution.

I hope these steps are helpful. Give them a try and let me know if they work. If the problem continues, we’ll keep troubleshooting together.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

I look forward to hearing back from you.
