Calendar showing up busy or free

I have a user that tried to publish their calendar via of the OWA settings. Now they are having issues seeing their own events detail. All of their events are showing up as busy or free on their own calendar interface. This affects all platform, mobile, Outlook app and OWA.

    Hi @Tony Ngonekeo

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

It appears you're currently seeing only "Free" or "Busy" blocks instead of full event details across all platforms (Outlook app, mobile, and OWA). I’d like to help you get this resolved quickly.

To better understand what’s happening, could you please confirm a few things:

    1. Are you using a personal Microsoft account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com), or an account provided by your organization (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
    2. Is your account managed by an organization or IT admin?
    3. Are you viewing your own calendar, or is this a shared calendar from someone else?
    4. When you published your calendar via Outlook Web App (OWA), did you change any permission settings (e.g., selecting “Can view when I’m busy” or “Can view all details”)?
    5. Are you signed in with more than one Microsoft account (e.g., personal and work)? If so, are you viewing the calendar from the correct account?
    6. If you go to your calendar settings in OWA and check Sharing and Permissions, what permission level is currently set for: My Organization; Default; Any other listed users or groups?

In the meaning time, there're some steps you can try:

**Check Calendar Permissions in OWA **

    1. Go to Outlook Web App.
    2. Click the Calendar icon > Share calendar  User's image
    3. Navigate Sharing and permissions window.
    4. Look for entries like:
      • “My Organization” or “Default”
      • Make sure it’s set to “Can view all details” or “Can edit”.
    5. If it’s set to “Can view when I’m busy,” change it to a higher permission level.  User's image

    **Check Account Sync **

If the user is logged in with multiple accounts (e.g., a personal and work account), make sure they’re viewing the calendar with the correct account that owns the calendar.
