Microsoft authinticator app issues

Hi!

I need support ASAP! as I am kicked out of my account, and the microsoft authinticator app is not working. I am on hold in a que at microsoft support now for 5 hours! That is absurd! Someone HAS TO help me now!

    You can also create a temporary trial business account and use it to initiate a support request through the Microsoft 365 admin platform, that often helps get a faster response from the support team.

    Hi! This is a business account, and I am logging into my account through outlook. Microsoft 365. The authinticator app is working on other job accounts I have, but not this particular one. Thanks!

    Are there any other admins in your organization who could reset your multi-factor authentication settings for you?

    If you are the only Global Admin and don’t have any alternative verification methods set up (like backup phone or email), then the only way forward is to contact Microsoft 365 support directly https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/get-help-support?view=o365-worldwide They’ll ask you to verify your domain ownership and can help reset the MFA requirement so you can get back into your account.

    Could you let me know if this is for a personal Microsoft account or a work/school (business) account? Also, are you trying to sign in directly to your Microsoft account, or to a third-party site/app that’s asking for verification through the Authenticator app?

    I ask because there have been some recent changes to how Microsoft Authenticator works, particularly with autofill and account management.
