A web-based tool in Microsoft 365 that enables users to quickly create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms.
Hi @Camille P,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Forms does not currently support scoring sections separately. The scoring feature in MS Forms applies to the entire form as a whole and there isn't an out-of-the-box way to break it into multiple scoring segments for different sections of the form.
Here are a couple of workarounds you can try:
- Use multiple forms (one per section)
- You could create multiple forms, one for each section of the quiz and then assign a score to each form. After collecting the results, you'd need to combine the scores manually.
- Use sections within a single form but manually score each section
- If you prefer to keep everything within one form, you can still use sections within the form to organize questions.
- Although MS Forms will only give a total score for the whole form, you can manually review responses by section and then calculate the scores separately.
- You could also use branching to direct users to different sections, but this wouldn’t affect the scoring - it just makes the form flow more dynamic.
- Export responses to Excel:
- After collecting responses, you can use Excel formulas to calculate scores per section based on question grouping.
