    Dear @Debra Berger,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Based on your description, it may have a glitch while you deleted your spam emails in high volume at once. You can consult and try methods of Ms. Isabelle. Besides that, if the issue still persists, you may try these suggestions:

1.You may need to repair the mail apps to improve its performance.

    • Right-click the Start button (lower-left corner) and select Installed apps on the pop-up menu.
    • Select the Microsoft 365 or Office product you want to repair, click the ellipses, and select Modify
    • Depends on your Microsoft 365 or Office installation type (Click-to-run or MSI-based), you'll see the following options to proceed with the repair. Follow the steps for your installation type.

See more detals in this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b

2.If you use Outlook, you may try remove and re-add your email account, see more details in here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/add-an-email-account-to-outlook-for-windows-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b

If you use Classic Outlook, see this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/remove-or-delete-an-email-account-from-classic-outlook-for-windows-1fa900ae-6dc8-468c-b754-10292f7ee47a

3.If it happened to your Outlook desktop app, have you tried to reinstall it? If not, please try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

    To uninstall new Outlook:

    • From the Start menu, select new Outlook for Windows.
    • Select the arrow to expand the list option in Start.
    • Select Uninstall to begin the uninstall process

    After that, reinstall it.

4.If you used Outlook on the web, you may need to use private/incognito mode (Ctrl + Shift + N) and combine with clearing the browser cache and cookies to see if it can be fixed.

Please note that I do not recommend deleting large volumes of spam emails all at once. Instead, try the following suggestions to see if they help.

If the issue persists, please let me know which email app you are using (e.g., Outlook, Gmail) and whether your email account is personal or business. And does this behavior also occur in Outlook on the web?

Hope this helps and please feel free to let me know your update in the comment section. Wish you a pleasant day!

    Hi Debra,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

The error code E4007 you're seeing when trying to delete all your spam emails is usually caused by too many items being selected at once or a temporary server sync issue. Please try these suggestions:

    1. Delete your spam emails in smaller batches (e.g., 50 or 100 at a time).
    2. Refresh your browser or restart the Outlook app.
    3. If you’re using the web version, try clearing the cache or switching to another browser.
