Welcome Tien Le,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum. I am sorry to hear about your issue when you cannot backup from old PC to new PC.
To assist you better, I need to clarify a few things:
- Did you receive any code from the old PC to enter on the new PC?
You can try the alternative step to troubleshoot your issue:
- On your old device, go to the website https://www.onedrive.com and sign in using the Microsoft account associated with that device
- Check if your important folders such as Documents, Desktop, Pictures, and others contain your old device's data in OneDrive
- On your new device, ensure that the OneDrive app is running. You should see the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen
- Click on the OneDrive cloud icon, then select "Settings"
- Under the Settings window, navigate to the "Sync and Backup" tab
- Click on "Manage backup"
- Turn on the backup for folders such as Desktop, Documents, and Pictures by switching on those options.
- Once enabled, OneDrive will start synchronizing those folders from the cloud to your new device
- Wait for the sync process to complete, and your old data will be accessible on the new device
Besides, if you want to transfer your files or folders from old PC to new PC, you can try some workaround steps below:
Option 1: Transfer via Network
Keep in mind
- Device should be same network
- Enable sharing from Windows

Please kindly follow these steps:

- Step 2. Tick the boxes below and click Save changes.
- Step 3. Right-click the file you want to transfer, hover on Give access, and select Specific people.
- Step 4. Choose Everyone from the expanded menu, and click Add to confirm.
- Step 5. Select Everyone and set permissions to Read/Write, then click Share to confirm.
- Step 6. Now you can copy the shared link and paste it on another device.
Option 2: Transfer files on same network through Nearby Sharing
- Step 1: You need to enable Nearby Sharing on all the computers you want to share files with. Open Settings, click System > Shared Experiences, and turn on Nearby sharing and select Everyone nearby
- Step 2: On the source computer, locate and right-click the file, and click Share.
- Step 3: Select the remote computer you want to transfer the file.
- Step 4: A notification will appear on the remote computer. Click Save & Open or Save to initiate the file transfer.
