Using the New Outlook for Mac features in business environments
Hi @Timothy Quist
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
To use your Squarespace domain for email, you need a Microsoft 365 Business subscription. Personal Outlook.com accounts cannot host custom domains.
Here are some steps you may follow:
1.Add your domain in Microsoft 365
-Go to Microsoft 365 admin center > Settings > Domains > Add domain > Enter your Squarespace domain and verify it using TXT record Microsoft provides.
2.Update DNS record in Squarespace:
Squarespace does not create email hosting; it only manages DNS. When Squarespace asks you to enter Data, it means the value of the DNS record.
Add the DNS records supplied by Microsoft:
-MX: routes mail to Microsoft 365.
-CNAME: supports services like Autodiscover.
-TXT (SPF): helps prevent email spoofing.
DNS changes can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 48 hours to fully propagate. Once complete, you’ll be able to create and use email addresses with your Squarespace domain through Microsoft 365.
