Hi Doug Henry,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how disruptive it is when Teams or New Outlook stop launching after a Windows update on a Surface (Snapdragon/Windows on ARM) device and show WebView2 errors. Please try the following steps:
- Press Win + R, type
regedit. - Delete this key if present:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate\Clients\{F3017226-FE2A-4295-8BDF-00C3A9A7E4C5}. Disclaimer: Please Back up the registry first. - Download MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerARM64.exe from the official page: Microsoft Edge WebView2 | Microsoft Edge Developer and run it as Administrator. If your organization uses per‑user installs, also run the installer under the affected Windows account (some apps only detect per‑user installs).
- Repair Microsoft Edge (Settings > Apps > Microsoft Edge > Modify/Repair), then confirm the folder
...EBWebView\arm64\EmbeddedBrowserWebView.dllexists again. - After that, please reinstall the affected apps. Teams (new): reinstall the MSIX/bootstrapper build; Outlook (new): reinstall from the Store/Microsoft link. After reinstalling, both should bind to the ARM64 WebView2 runtime.
