Dear @RKM Trim & Construction Inc, Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand that you’re unable to sign in to any Microsoft Office app and you’re seeing “Something went wrong [657rx]” with “The credential is invalid. Unexpected sub status (6008)

To better assistance, could you please confirm following information:

    • Is this PC company‑managed (Azure AD‑joined) or personal with a work account connected?
    • Are you able to sign in to https://www.office.com with the same account?
    • Which apps fail: Teams, Outlook, Word/Excel/PowerPoint (desktop), or all?
    • Do web versions (Teams/Outlook on the browser) work?
    • Is this a work/school account (e.g., ******@company.com) and do you know if your license is active?
    • Are you signed into Windows with the same work account, or a different/personal account?
    • Does the error show in multiple apps or only one? If you have a screenshot, please share it (mask sensitive info).
    • Does it happen when you use other device to sign-in the same account?

In the meantime, I recommend some steps below

1/ Sign out & close apps

Sign out of Teams, Outlook, and Office apps, then close them all.

    2/ Clear AAD Broker cache

    • Open File Explorer and paste: %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy
    • Delete all contents of that folder.

    3/ Reconnect Work/School account

Go to Settings > Accounts > Access work or school > Disconnect your org account. Restart the PC. Return to Access work or school > Connect, and sign in again.

    4/ Clear saved credentials

    • Open Credential Manager > Windows Credentials
    • Remove entries related to Office/Teams/OneDrive (e.g., MicrosoftOffice16_Data, adalsso, msteams_adalsso).
    • Restart the PC.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
