    Hello Andy Trickett

Thank you for posting your question on the Q&A Forum.

Please do not close Excel yet. If you exit now, your unsaved work will be lost. Copy all your current data into Excel Online immediately to back it up. You can continue working there temporarily if needed.

Next, please verify whether your Office license is active (check on the Microsoft 365 portal). If it has expired, you’ll need to renew or purchase a new license.

Also, are you currently saving your Excel files to OneDrive? And assuming you have an Office Business account, may I ask if you are using both OneDrive Business and Personal on this Mac? If yes, the accounts are likely conflicting.

    Please try these steps:

    1. Clear cached credentials: Open Keychain Access via Spotlight, search for “Office” or “ADAL,” and delete those entries.
    2. Reset OneDrive: Quit OneDrive completely. Open Finder > Applications > locate OneDrive > right‑click OneDrive app > choose Show Package Contents, then navigate to Contents > Resources. Double‑click one of the reset scripts available for your build: ResetOneDriveApp.command or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command. A Terminal window may appear briefly; let it finish. Afterwards, reopen OneDrive from Applications and sign in.
    3. Relogin: Sign in to Excel using only your Business account.

These steps help remove old login tokens, refresh OneDrive settings, and ensure Excel uses the correct account for licensing and sync. Please try these steps and let me know the result. Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. If the issue persists, don’t hesitate to reach out.
