Hi @Gupta, Shubham,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Regarding the first issue: Missing Mail-Tip
After reviewing, I can confirm that this isn’t a bug but rather a design difference in New Outlook compared to Classic Outlook. At this time, this feature hasn’t been prioritized for development.
If you’re using New Outlook, the best approach for now is to manually review the conversation thread before replying to ensure you’re responding to the latest message and avoid any confusion. I completely understand how valuable this feature can be for maintaining clarity in fast-moving conversations.
I noticed that other users have already raised this suggestion in the official Outlook (new) · Community portal: Missing Mail tip "You are not responding to the latest message in this conversation" · Community
I strongly encourage you to upvote that feedback so it gains more visibility with the product team. Collective feedback is one of the most effective ways to influence future improvements, and your input can help shape the roadmap.
Regarding the second issue: Email Address Paste Behavior
The behavior you’re seeing is also related to how New Outlook is designed. It’s built on a modern, web-based architecture similar to Outlook on the web and uses a new parsing engine for email addresses. When you paste formatted addresses like: XYZ, ABC ******@123.com, New Outlook interprets the comma as a separator for multiple addresses. This can lead to names being split into separate entries and the combined string not matching the expected format, so it appears highlighted as invalid.
For larger mailing lists, New Outlook validates each entry immediately. If the format isn’t aligned with its current standards, the paste may not succeed. Classic Outlook handles these formats differently, which is why you don’t see this behavior there.
As a temporary workaround, you can either enter the addresses manually or convert your mailing list into a format that New Outlook recognizes before pasting. The recommended format uses semicolons to separate addresses, for example:
******@domain.com; ******@domain.com; ******@domain.com.
This approach ensures that the addresses are parsed correctly and avoids the validation issues you’ve been experiencing. If you’d like New Outlook to support the previous behavior and believe it would be helpful for users, you can share your feedback directly through Outlook (new) · Community. If you’ve already posted something, feel free to share the link here, I’ll be happy to upvote it and help bring more visibility to your request.
Note: As a forum moderator, I hope you understand that I don’t have the ability to modify or escalate product issues directly. At the moment, I haven’t seen any roadmap updates indicating these features will be added soon. Within my scope, I can confirm the current status and guide you toward the best next steps, which include sharing feedback directly with the product team so your input reaches the right place. Thank you for your understanding!
If my response has helped clarify these limitations and provided a path forward, please kindly click "Accept Answer" and upvote it. Doing so will pin your post, making it easier for others in the community who encounter similar issues to find your feedback and support it. Your voice truly matters, and when we share feedback collectively, it becomes a powerful driver for improvements in New Outlook.
Thank you again for sharing your concerns!
