New Members in Group Calendar

Hello,

New members can't seem to see the meetings/events created for all members of the group calendar before they joined. Is there a way to invite new members to these meetings automatically or do they need to be manually invited to each one?

Thank you!

Dear @Henry Lee,

Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. I truly appreciate your patience during this time and thank you for bearing with us. Based on your description, I understand that you're running into an issue with new members not seeing past events in the group calendar.

In this case, please kindly allow me to provide some information:

There’s no automatic back‑invite for events that existed before someone joined the group. New members get permissions to the shared resources (including the group calendar) when they’re added to the group, but they aren’t retroactively added as attendees to past or already‑scheduled meetings. You’ll need to update the meetings (manually or with automation) so they receive invitations, and the events appear on their personal calendars

New members of a Microsoft 365 group calendar will not automatically see meetings or events that were created before they joined the group. Unfortunately, there is no built-in feature to automatically invite new members to past meetings. Each new member would need to be manually invited to those meetings to gain access to them.

If you want to ensure that new members are aware of past events, you might consider sending them a summary or details of the meetings they missed, or manually inviting them to those events if necessary.
