Based on your description, you cannot access the project documents folder after a system hack and account reset, even after re‑registering and receiving a new invite.
The inability to access project documents after the hack is most likely due to broken permissions, corrupted identities, or security policies applied during the recovery process. When a system is compromised, Microsoft often enforces stricter access controls or revokes tokens to protect data. This means your previous links or invites may no longer work even after re-registration.
For better understand your issue, was the hack related to Microsoft 365 services or another system in your environment?
If it related to Microsoft, and you can still access to admin. I recommend raise support ticket to Microsoft support team. The Microsoft Online Support Team has higher permission than us moderators to remotely assist you and collect background logs for the root cause.
