Hi All,

I recently batch transferred my emails from a Google business to a Microsoft Exchange plan for my business emails and I am receiving dozens of Migration Batch Status reports daily.

There are no active batch processes running and I'm struggling to find a solution to this. I've attached a screenshot of the message. Any help would be much appreciated!

It sounds like you might be experiencing an issue with lingering notifications from previous migration batches. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem:

    1. Check Migration Batches: Ensure that there are truly no active migration batches. You can do this by logging into the Exchange Admin Center (EAC) and navigating to Recipients > Migration to verify the status of all migration batches.
    2. Delete Old Migration Batches: If you find any old or completed migration batches that are still showing status reports, you can delete them. Highlight the migration batch and select the Delete option. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
    3. Check Email Notifications Settings: Sometimes, the settings for email notifications may still be active for completed batches. Review the notification settings in your Exchange environment to ensure that they are configured correctly.
    4. Wait for Propagation: After making changes, it may take some time for the system to stop sending out notifications. Allow some time after deleting old batches to see if the emails cease.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Hi @Dimitris Mastroyiannis

Thank you for posting your question in the Q&A Forum.

We can certainly understand how receiving numerous daily “Migration Batch Status” emails can be disruptive, especially after completing your migration from Google to Exchange.

These emails often come from completed or failed migration batches that remain in the system backend, even if they no longer appear in the Exchange Admin Center (EAC).

To stop them, you can check and remove these batches using Exchange Online PowerShell:

    # List all batches
    Get-MigrationBatch | Format-List Identity, Status, NotificationEmails
    # Stop the batch (optional)
    Stop-MigrationBatch -Identity "YourBatchName"
    # Remove the batch
    Remove-MigrationBatch -Identity "YourBatchName" -Confirm:$false

Replace YourBatchName with the actual batch Identity from the list above.

After these steps, the daily status emails should typically stop within a few hours.
