1] Download Windows 11 ISO and save it to the desktop. Or, you can create the USB setup disk. Don't run setup yet.

2] Perform the steps mentioned in the thread below:

Important: At this point, the Start menu and Settings will be inoperable. A repair installation or in-place upgrade is required after resetting the repository.

3] After completing step #2, mount the Windows 11 ISO and do an in-place upgrade to 25H2.

The error code 0x8007042B - 0x4000D during the update process typically indicates that there was a failure during the second boot phase of the Windows upgrade. To troubleshoot this issue, you can analyze the log files, particularly setuperr.log and setupact.log.

    1. Check for specific error messages: Look for entries in setuperr.log that correspond to the error code. This log file provides a high-level list of errors that occurred during the setup process.
    2. Cross-reference timestamps: Use the timestamps from the error entries in setuperr.log to find related entries in setupact.log. This can help identify the specific operation that failed and provide more context about the failure.
    3. Common issues: The error may be related to file corruption or issues with system files. If you find references to corrupted files in the logs, you may need to repair or replace those files.
    4. Consider system health: Running a system file checker (SFC) scan or a DISM command can help fix underlying issues that might be causing the upgrade to fail.

    Hi,

You posted Rollback logs. To understand what happened, kindly share the Panther ones.

The Panther logs. Files named Setupact.log and Setuperr.log from the following path:

    C:$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther

As the log size might be large consider zipping everything before uploading.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

Thank you, Lima. I found the error that is possibly causing the update to fail. Is there any Acer app installed that is from the Microsoft Store? If so, please uninstall it, restart and try the update again.
