Hello,

I have enrolled in the Azure $5k credit and it's reflecting in the Startup Portal. We recently got charged $800 so when I went to investigate via the portal.startups.microsoft.com --> "Monitor Azure Spend" via microsoftazuresponsorships.com the page reads: This account does not have an active sponsorship.

Please help this is so frustrating.

Hey Raymond, it looks like you're having a frustrating time with the Azure sponsorship, especially after seeing the "no active sponsorship" message. Let’s try to sort this out!

    1. Activation Confirmation: Have you followed the activation steps provided in the email, if one was received? You can check your activation status on the Microsoft Azure Sponsorship Portal. If you haven't yet activated your sponsorship, that could explain why you don't see it as active.
    2. Billing Issue: The charge of $800 you mentioned might be related to your account converting to a pay-as-you-go format due to exceeding any respective credit limits. You might want to double-check the details of your subscription under the Azure Portal.

As a next step, here's what you can do:

    • Go to the Microsoft Azure Sponsorships website to check the balance and usage of your sponsorship.
    • Confirm your activation process and eligibility through the steps mentioned in the provided links.

If the issue persists, please let me know:

    • Did you receive an email invitation for your sponsorship?
    • Can you confirm whether you've activated your sponsorship, and what steps you've already taken?
    • Have you checked if the Azure credits were potentially spent on services beyond your sponsorship?

I hope this helps clear up the confusion! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need further assistance.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your Azure sponsorship status. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem:

    1. Verify Account Information: Ensure that the information in your Azure account profile, including your contact email address, street address, and telephone number, is correct. Incorrect information can lead to issues with your sponsorship.
    2. Check Sponsorship Status: If your account is showing as not having an active sponsorship, it may be worth checking if there are any notifications or messages in the Azure portal that could indicate why this is the case.
    3. Contact Support: If the issue persists, it’s best to reach out to support for assistance. You can do this by visiting the support page and submitting a ticket for your issue. They will be able to provide more specific guidance based on your account details.
    4. Monitor Usage: Use the Azure portal to monitor your usage and spending to ensure that the charges you are seeing align with your expected usage under the sponsorship credits.

These steps should help you address the issue with your Azure sponsorship and clarify the unexpected charges.
