Hi, I understand you’re trying to reset your PC for school but can’t install apps because the account doesn’t have admin rights.

This happens when the current user is set as a standard account, which limits changes like installing certain programs or resetting the system.

The easiest way forward is to use the built-in recovery option:

from the login screen or Start menu, hold Shift and click Restart, then go to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC and choose whether to keep your files or remove everything.

This works even without admin access.

Before we proceed, do you want to keep your personal files or completely wipe the PC?

Also, is this a personal computer or one managed by a school or company?

That will help me guide you better.

    Regards,
    Aron

To reset your PC, you will need to follow the steps to reset it to a clean state. However, removing admin access is not something that can be done directly through a reset. If you want to reset your PC, you can do so by following these steps:

    1. Open the Settings app on your device.
    2. Select Update & Security > Recovery.
    3. In the Reset this PC section, select Get started.
    4. Choose Remove everything to ensure a complete reset.

This process will remove all apps and personal settings, allowing you to start fresh. If you encounter any issues with admin access during this process, you may need to contact your IT administrator for assistance, as they control the permissions on the device.
