I just got a new computer and the data from the outlook calendar on my old computer was not transferred to the new computer. Can you find and send me the calendar date from my old computer?

To retrieve missing data from your Outlook calendar after transferring to a new computer, you can follow these steps:

    1. Export Data from Old Computer: If you still have access to your old computer, export your calendar data to an Outlook Data File (.pst). You can do this by going to File > Open & Export > Import/Export and selecting Export to a file. Choose Outlook Data File (.pst) and select your calendar to export.
    2. Transfer the .pst File: Once you have the .pst file, transfer it to your new computer using a USB drive or any other file transfer method.
    3. Import Data to New Computer: On your new computer, open Outlook and go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export. Choose Import from another program or file, select Outlook Data File (.pst), and follow the prompts to import your calendar data. Make sure to select the option Do not import duplicates during the import process.

If you encounter any issues during this process, you may want to use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to troubleshoot calendar issues or check for missing entries.

    Hi Harry Komsky,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you have moved to a new computer and want all Outlook Calendar events to appear. I cannot access data on the previous device to send it directly to you, but below are recovery methods depending on where your calendar was stored.

    1. Calendar linked to an online personal account

    (Outlook.com/Microsoft account, Gmail, iCloud)

If your calendar is associated with an online account, add the same account to Classic Outlook for Windows and the data will synchronize to the new computer.

    • Open Classic Outlook for Windows.
    • Go to File > Add Account and sign in with the exact account you used before:
      • Outlook.com/Microsoft account: check at outlook.live.com in a web browser; if you see your events there, Outlook on the new computer will synchronize them.
      • Gmail (Google Calendar): check at calendar.google.com; in Outlook, add your Gmail account or connect Google Calendar if you previously linked it.
      • iCloud: install iCloud for Windows, sign in, and turn on Mail, Contacts, and Calendars to synchronize the calendar.

If you have added the account but the calendar still does not appear:

    • Go to File > Account Settings > Data Files, set the correct mailbox as Default, then restart Outlook.
    • Or go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > (select the account) > Repair to refresh the connection and complete synchronization.

    2. Calendar stored locally on the old computer (an Outlook Data File with the extension .pst or “This computer only”)

If the calendar was not linked to an online account and was stored locally, you will need the Outlook Data File (.pst) from the old computer or from any backup you have (external drive, backup service, or a previous export).

Common location of the Outlook Data File on the old computer:

    • C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents\Outlook Files\*.pst

How to import the Outlook Data File on the new computer:

    • Copy the .pst file to the new computer (for example, to the Desktop).
    • In Outlook, go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
    • Choose Import from another program or file > Outlook Data File (.pst).
    • Browse to the file, select Do not import duplicates, and import the Calendar folder into your current mailbox.

However, if there is no backup or Outlook Data File, and the calendar was not linked to an online account, there is no copy stored on servers to restore.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates.
