Hi @isaac,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum.
The error code 1541091857 on Android is usually associated with the message “The operation attempted is invalid” and tag 5objp. It is commonly seen when adding a Microsoft 365 account to Outlook for Android (and sometimes Teams), especially after device migrations, app updates, or when cached credentials conflict with the authentication flow.
I'd recommend you clear your device cache credentials first to ensure proper sign-in:
- Remove old accounts from device settings
- Go to Settings → Accounts and backup→ Manage accounts.
- Delete any duplicate or old Microsoft/Work accounts.
- Clear Outlook app cache and data
- Settings → Apps → Outlook → Storage → Clear Cache & Clear Data.
- Reinstall Outlook
- Uninstall Outlook → Reboot → Turn off Auto Sync Data→ Reinstall from Play Store/App Store.
- You can find Auto Sync Data toggle under Settings → Accounts and backups → Manage accounts. It will be at the bottom of the Manage Accounts section.
- Sign in using the full UPN format
- For business accounts, use ******@domain.onmicrosoft.com or your organization’s domain.
- This forces a fresh authentication session.
