To unlock your SharePoint account, you may need to follow these steps:

    1. Wait for the Lockout Period: If your account is locked due to multiple failed login attempts, it typically unlocks automatically after a set period (usually 15 minutes).
    2. Contact Your Administrator: Since you mentioned that the owner is re-adding you to the group, ensure that they have completed this process. If the account remains locked, they may need to check for any additional restrictions or policies that could be affecting your access.
    3. Run Diagnostics: If you have administrative access, you can run diagnostics in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to check for any issues related to your account. This can help identify if there are any network-based location policies that are causing the lockout.
    4. Check Organizational Policies: If you are encountering access denied errors due to organizational policies, your administrator may need to adjust these settings to grant you access again.

If the issue persists, it may be necessary for your administrator to disable any policies that are preventing access.

To better understand your situation, could you please clarify a few points:

    • When you try to log in, do you see a specific error message? If possible, please share a screenshot (with any personal information removed). This will help us understand the situation more clearly.
    • Were you invited as a guest user?
    • Have you tried signing in using an incognito/private browser tab or switching to a different browser?

In the meantime, kindly ask the Site Owner to follow these steps to remove your cached user details from the hidden User Information List in SharePoint:

    • Log in to the SharePoint site.
    • Edit the browser URL to access the hidden people list by adding this to the end of the site URL/_layouts/15/people.aspx?MembershipGroupId=0
    • In this list, search for your name.
    • Select your user account and click Actions > Delete Users from Site Collection.
    • Wait about 15 minutes, then re-invite you to the site.

Thank you for your time, and please update this thread with any new information so we can continue assisting you further.
