Loop component in MS Teams meetings not accessible in the meeting invite by either the organizer or participants. Was working last week - not today

When settin up meetings in MS Teams - we add agendas (Loop components) to the Teams meeting. Participants can generally open the invite in Teams and update the agenda/loop component. Now the Loop component does not display and when clicking in the spot for Add and Agenda it says that another person is creating the notes. But no one is even in the notes.

Going directly to Loop - participants can update the agenda - and if the Loop component is shared anywhere else- participants can update - they no longer can do so in the meeting invite

    Hi @Jackie Klass @PIEROZZI, BRENO @Luke Brunckhorst @Rachel Fenner @Leclerc Michel

Thank you for sharing your concern.

If the issue persists after trying the earlier workarounds, the best next step would be to have your IT administrator open a support ticket with Microsoft via the admin center. A technical support engineer can then initiate a remote session, review backend settings, and run diagnostics. If needed, they can escalate the case to specialized engineering teams who are well-equipped to perform advanced troubleshooting and provide targeted solutions.

As moderators, our primary goal is to provide helpful guidance and support through general troubleshooting steps. While we don’t have access to internal systems or administrative tools required to resolve account-specific or backend issues, we truly appreciate your understanding of these limitations. We genuinely hope the information we share helps point you in the right direction, and we're always here to assist as much as we can within our scope.

For guidance on how to request support in the admin center, please refer to: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

I hope this helps you update the agenda in your meeting invitation quickly. I am glad to assist and truly hope the information provided has been useful. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you need further support.

It seems like you are experiencing an issue with Loop components in Microsoft Teams meetings where participants are unable to access or update the agenda directly in the meeting invite. This could be due to several reasons:

    1. Temporary Glitch: Sometimes, features may experience temporary issues. If it was working last week and suddenly stopped, it might be worth checking if there are any service outages or updates from Microsoft that could be affecting this functionality.
    2. Permissions: Ensure that the Loop components are properly shared and that all participants have the necessary permissions to edit them. You can verify the sharing settings and permissions for Loop components in your organization.
    3. Configuration Settings: Check if there have been any changes to the admin settings for Loop components in Teams. The settings for Loop components can be managed at the tenant level, and if they were changed, it might affect accessibility.
    4. Meeting Settings: Sometimes, specific meeting settings can restrict access to certain features. Review the meeting settings to ensure that nothing has changed that would prevent participants from accessing the Loop components.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your IT support team or checking the Microsoft Teams support page for further assistance.

    Hi @Jackie Klass

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing detailed information with us.

I have attempted to reproduce the issue on my side but was not able to encounter it consistently. We understand the importance of being able to access and update meeting agendas without interruption.

Since the behavior can be intermittent, please try the following workarounds if the agenda does not display in the meeting or shows that another person is creating the notes.

Workaround 1: Edit the Existing Agenda Directly in Loop

If the agenda does not load correctly in the Teams meeting, it can still be edited directly in Loop.

    1. Go to https://loop.microsoft.com
    2. Open the existing meeting agenda (Loop page).
    3. Make the required updates there.
    4. If helpful, share the Loop link in the meeting chat so participants can access it easily.

Workaround 2: Create a New Agenda Page in Loop and Share It

If the agenda in the meeting appears unavailable, creating a new Loop page and using it as the agenda is the most reliable alternative.

    1. Go to https://loop.microsoft.com
    2. Create a new page.
    3. Use the page as the meeting agenda by adding content such as:
      • A heading.
      • Bullet points or checklist items for agenda topics.
    4. Select Share and copy the page link.
    5. Paste the link into the Teams meeting chat or meeting description.

Participants can collaborate on this page in real time, similar to the agenda experience within the meeting.

Note: Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
