I'm trying to purchase Microsoft Essentials package but am being redirected to create a onmicrosoft.com. Will this not affect the MS Teams I already have? I already scheduled a meeting with this account.

Essential is a business plan. If you do sign up for the business plan, it will have you create a new username that ends with onmicrosoft.com. Make sure you write that down because that's your user credential to log into Teams after that. And the subscription will be managed via this link https://admin.microsoft.com.

Microsoft's business and consumer products are from two separate ecosystems. While having the new account will not affect everything on your personal account, however, your Teams signed in with business and personal accounts will run separately, meaning, your existing meetings don't automatically go to your Teams business environment. If you need the meetings to happen under your Essential license, you need to create these meetings all over again in Teams business (signed in with the onmicrosoft.com account).

    Hi @PACHI Admin

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please rest assured, creating an onmicrosoft.com domain as part of the Microsoft Essentials setup will not affect your existing Teams account or any meetings you’ve already scheduled. The Essentials package requires setting up a new organizational Microsoft 365 tenant, which is completely separate from your current personal Teams account. These two environments operate independently, so you can use both without any interference.

I hope this clears things up for you. If I’ve misunderstood your concern or if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reply here. I’ll be happy to provide more details or walk you through anything you need.

Thank you for taking the time!
