How do I log in to my University account on mobile phone when it asks me to accept request in Authenticator App while I am already in the Authenticator App and if I close down the screen, I neither the request to accept the log in nor can I sign in since I exited the sign in page to attempt to accept the request?

    Hi @Colin Yang

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. It sounds like you’re encountering a loop during the authentication process. First, may I ask if you have any alternative way to sign in besides using the Authenticator app?

If you do, please try signing in with that method to see if it works.

If you don’t have another sign-in option available, the best next step would be to reach out to your school or your school’s IT administrator. They have the ability to reset your multi-factor authentication (MFA) settings, which should allow you to sign in again. When you contact them, please kindly share this guide so they can revoke existing MFA sessions and require re-registration: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…

Once they complete this process, your previous sign-in sessions will be removed. The next time you log in, you’ll be prompted to set up MFA again, which should help you receive the verification code successfully.

I hope you can understand that as a forum moderator, I don’t have the permissions or tools to make changes to user account settings remotely. Since you’re using an account provided by your school, only your school’s IT department/administrator has the necessary permissions to manage or reset your authentication methods.

I truly hope these steps help you regain access to your account on your device. Even though I can’t intervene directly, I want to make sure you’re connected to the right team who can resolve this for you quickly and effectively.

If anything is unclear or if you have any updates, please feel free to reply here, I’ll do my best to support you within the scope I can. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding, and I’m wishing you a smooth resolution and a wonderful weekend ahead!
