Hello Ron Langdon
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand you want to stay signed in to your Outlook account on your computer without having to log in repeatedly.
To help me guide you better, could you confirm when you’re being signed out? Is it every time you close Outlook, after restarting your computer, or after a period of inactivity?
In the meantime, please try the following steps:
1. Check "Stay signed in" when logging in
- When signing in at https://outlook.live.com, please make sure to select Yes for “Stay signed in” or “Keep me signed in” when prompted.

- Also check the box that says "Don't show this again" and click Yes.
- If you’re using the Outlook app on Windows, staying signed in depends on your Windows sign‑in session, so the “Stay signed in” prompt may not appear in the app itself.
2. In New Outlook for Windows app
Once you sign in, the app should keep you signed in by default:
- Open Outlook app and sign in with your account
- The app will remember your credentials and normally stays signed in automatically
- You usually won’t be asked to sign in again unless you sign out manually or your Windows sign‑in session is reset
3. If you’re being signed out repeatedly, restart the app properly
Sometimes the app gets stuck in a bad sign-in state. Microsoft recommends fully closing it via Task Manager, then reopening:
- Right‑click Start > Task Manager > select Microsoft Outlook > End task
- Make sure that new Outlook is closed > close Task Manager
- Reopen new Outlook
4. Adjust browser settings (if using Outlook on the web)
- Don't clear cookies when closing browser
- In browser settings, disable "Clear cookies when closing browser"
- Allow cookies from outlook.live.com
If you keep getting signed out:
- Check if your browser is set to delete cookies automatically
- Disable any privacy extensions that block cookies
- Make sure you're not in Incognito/Private browsing mode
I truly hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
