    Hi @Destiny Hicks,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’d love to help you get this sorted out, but to better understand your situation, could you please clarify a few details:

    • Is your mailbox hosted on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), or is it on a third-party or on-premises server with POP3 enabled just for mail retrieval?
    • Do you currently have an active Microsoft 365 license assigned for Office apps? If so, could you let us know which license type you have? Also, are you able to access Office apps through the web?
    • Is this issue affecting only your account, or are others in your organization experiencing the same problem? And just to confirm, are you an end-user or an admin for your organization?
    • If possible, please also share a screenshot of the exact error message you’re seeing (with any sensitive details blurred). This will help me get a clearer picture of what’s happening.

Providing these details will help me investigate further and suggest the most appropriate steps for you. If you have any updates or additional information to share, please feel free to leave a comment under this post, I’ll be happy to assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to your reply!

It seems that you are able to log in to your email account using POP3, but you are encountering issues when trying to access Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This could be due to several reasons:

    1. Account Type: Ensure that you are using the correct account type for Microsoft 365 applications. Microsoft 365 work and school accounts are required to access these services. If your account is a personal account or not associated with a Microsoft 365 subscription, it may not be recognized by these applications.
    2. User ID and Password: Double-check that you are entering the correct user ID and password for your Microsoft 365 account. The user ID typically resembles someone@example.com or ******@example.onmicrosoft.com. If you are unsure, contact your administrator for assistance.
    3. Account Setup: If your Microsoft 365 account is not set up correctly, you may need to reconfigure it. Make sure that your account is properly licensed for Microsoft 365 applications.
    4. Password Synchronization: If your organization uses password synchronization, ensure that your computer password is synced with your Microsoft 365 account. If there are discrepancies, it may lead to login issues.

If the problem persists, you may want to reach out to your IT support or administrator for further assistance.
