Hello ,

I was using an SQL server with Microsoft SQL Government license and now we migrated to another SQL server. I need to activate my license to the new server but i don't have my product key. I have "Microsoft Open License Purchase Order Confirmation" and "contract details" with a Microsoft official supplier in my country. I tried through the sites ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/admin-overview/admin-center-overview?view=o365-worldwide, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/vlsc-faqs-home-page) but it says that i dont have permission. I also tried the telephone lines but they are offline.

How can i recover my Microsoft SQL Government product key ?

To recover your Microsoft SQL Government product key, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Purchase Confirmation: Since you have the "Microsoft Open License Purchase Order Confirmation," it may contain the product key or instructions on how to retrieve it.
    2. Contact Microsoft Licensing Support: Since you mentioned that the telephone lines are offline, consider reaching out through other support channels. You can submit a support request via the Microsoft support website or use the Microsoft Q&A platform to ask for assistance regarding your licensing issue.
    3. Verify Your Entitlement: If you have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, navigate to the Billing > Your Products section to check if the product key is listed there. However, you mentioned having permission issues, so this may not be an option.
    4. Consult Your Licensing Administrator: If you are part of an organization, your licensing administrator may have access to the necessary information or can assist you in retrieving the product key.
    5. Documentation: Refer to the SQL Server installation guide for any additional steps related to license activation and recovery.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, you may need to wait until you can contact Microsoft support directly for further assistance.
