I just closed a Teams meeting and don't see the recording or transcriptions file. Where are they located?

    Hi @Cynthia Bennardo,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how important it is to quickly access your meeting recordings and transcripts after a session ends. I appreciate you letting us know what you’re experiencing.

To locate them, please follow these steps:

    1. Meeting chat → “View recap” or Recap tab

Open the chat for that meeting and click View recap. You’ll see the recording and transcript together, along with shared files and notes. Alternatively, open the meeting from your Calendar and select the Recap tab.

Or you can select Shared and then Files from the top menu.

    2. Channel meetings

Your recording is stored in SharePoint, within the Files tab of the channel where the meeting took place: Go to the channel, click Files, then open the Recordings folder. You can also access it via the channel’s associated SharePoint site.

To find your Teams meeting recording and transcription, you should check the following locations based on the type of meeting:

    1. Non-channel meetings: The recording is stored in the Recordings folder under My files in OneDrive for Business. You can access it by navigating to your OneDrive account and looking for the Recordings folder.
    2. Channel meetings: The recording is stored in the Teams site documentation library in the Recordings folder in SharePoint. To find it, go to the Teams channel where the meeting took place, select Files, then Recordings, and choose Open in SharePoint.

If you still cannot find the recording, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access it, as the location and permissions can vary depending on the meeting type and the role of the user in the meeting.

    I have the same problem.

I pressed record at the start of the meeting but didn't press stop recording at the end before closing the meeting down.

I've gone back into the same meeting link and been able to record and it's gone into the chat as normal.

Is my full recording there somewhere?!
