    Hi @Shreya Vennavelli Bagannagari

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your issue, Microsoft does not support merging two Microsoft accounts into one. Each Microsoft account is treated as a separate identity with its own data, subscriptions, purchases, and services (such as Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Xbox, or the Microsoft Store). Because of this design, accounts cannot be combined after they are created.

    This applies to:

    • Personal Microsoft accounts (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live)
    • Work or school accounts (Microsoft 365 business/enterprise)

While merging isn’t possible, there are supported alternatives:

    1. Select one primary account to keep
    • Decide which account you will continue using long term.
    1. Manually move your data
    • Download and re-upload OneDrive files
      • Forward or export/import Outlook emails
      • Export and import contacts and calendars
    1. Use an email alias (personal accounts only)
    • If the issue is having multiple email addresses, you can add one address as an alias to the main account. This allows you to sign in and receive email using multiple addresses, but it does not merge data, purchases, or history.
    1. Close the unused account
    • After confirming your data has been moved, you can close the extra account to avoid confusion going forward.

For more details, please refer to: Combining Microsoft accounts

Hope this clarifies things. If you have more questions about Microsoft account, feel free to ask.

To merge two Microsoft accounts, you can perform a profile merge if only one of the profiles contains a personal Microsoft login account. Here are the steps to follow:

    1. Choose a Profile: Sign into the profile that you want to keep.
    2. Add Login Account: In the login account management section, select "add login account".
    3. Trigger Merge: If the login account you add is associated with another profile, this will trigger the merge process.
    4. Combine Data: All contents from the second profile will be brought into the signed-in profile, and any duplicate content will be removed.
    5. Limitations: Ensure that you do not exceed the limit of five work or school login accounts during the merge process, as this will cancel the merge.

Please note that merging is a one-time process and cannot be undone, so ensure you have backed up any important information before proceeding.
