    Dear Lefort Erick

Thank you for your question and for sharing the details into Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I’m sorry for the disruption, losing keyboard input after an update can be frustrating. I understand how disruptive this can be. I’ve reviewed the AI reply and the Independent Advisor’s guidance, and they align with safe, standard steps for this post‑update keyboard behavior, trying them is a good next move.

To make sure we guide you through the most relevant steps, could you please help confirm a few quick details:

    1. Is your keyboard built‑in (laptop) or external?
    • If external, is it USB/2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth?
    1. Do the Caps/Num Lock lights toggle when you press them?
    2. Does the On‑Screen Keyboard work?
    • You can turn it on with Win + Ctrl + O to reply more easily.

Additionally, please share your device model (PC/laptop) and Windows version/build (Settings > System > About > Windows specifications).

Once I have these details, I’ll tailor the next steps precisely to your setup. In the meantime, feel free to use the On‑Screen Keyboard or a temporary external keyboard so you can continue working and reply comfortably.

Wishing you a smooth experience, and I’m ready to assist further based on your results.

    1

Open Command Prompt, then paste in this command and press Enter:

    msdt.exe -id KeyboardDiagnostic

Run that Keyboard Troubleshooter to see if that can solve the problem.

    2

If that does not resolve this for you

    Open Device Manager

    Expand the Keyboards section

Right click your keyboard and choose 'Uninstall'

Then restart your PC to test if the keyboard is working correctly.
