    Hello Jim Aldridge

Thanks for reaching out to the Q&A forum.

From what you shared, you’re unable to open the Microsoft Store app or download content from website versions. Here are several steps you can try:

    1. Basic checks:

    • Temporarily disable any VPN, proxy, or third‑party antivirus, as they can block Store services.
    • Try changing your Region to United States to see if it helps.
    • Make sure Windows Update is functioning Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates
    • Verify your date and time settings: Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Turn on Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically

    2. Sign out and back in on the Microsoft Store website

    3. Ensure Windows Update services are working

Run these commands one by one in Command Prompt (Admin):

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop bits

    net stop cryptsvc

    ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    ren %systemroot%\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old

    net start wuauserv

    net start bits

    net start cryptsvc

Please let me know if these given methods work so we could decide the next step!

Please check if you're date and time is correct.

    Settings - Time & Language - Date & Time

    Turn Set time automatically ON

    Click Sync now

Then, please make sure that you're signed in to Microsoft account

    Settings - Accounts

    Then, please reset store.

    Press Win + R

    Type:

    wsreset.exe

    Press Enter

A blank window will open - Microsoft Store should reopen automatically.

Please let me know how it goes.
