To enable S/MIME certification if you're using Mac,

  1. Get your certificate, download it.
  2. Go to Keychain Access -> import your certificate -> open certificate -> Trust -> Always Trust
  3. Open Outlook -> Settings -> Accounts -> Security -> Configure Certificate.
  4. You're pretty much done!

I could not find solution anywhere but here it is. Hope it helps!

    To add S/MIME certification in Outlook on macOS, you typically need to follow these general steps:

    1. Obtain your S/MIME certificate and download it to your Mac.
    2. Open Keychain Access on your Mac and import your certificate. After importing, open the certificate and set its trust settings to Always Trust.
    3. Launch Outlook and navigate to Settings > Accounts > Security > Configure Certificate.
    4. After configuring, you should be set to use S/MIME for signing and encrypting emails.

    Please note that while these steps are common, specific details may vary based on the version of Outlook you are using. For more comprehensive guidance on S/MIME in Outlook, you may want to refer to the official Microsoft documentation.
