Hello Support Team, Our Microsoft 365 Outlook emails are not accessible across multiple users (tenant-wide issue). When signing into Outlook Web (OWA), it fails to load and shows a server error:

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.TenantAccessBlockedException

TenantAccessBlockedError (500)

Error time (UTC): 2026-01-24T11:45:31Z Client ID: D28F9246BE214CD4807200ACD007809 Session ID: e2da4911-675f-4a9f-8716-1f4521a4845e Client Version: 20260116004.03

Troubleshooting done:

Tested on different browsers and networks (same issue persists)

Issue affects all users, not a single mailbox

Kindly assist in checking why the tenant is blocked and help restore Exchange Online access as soon as possible.

Best regards, Wymore IT Solutions

    Hello Reservation

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A regarding the error TenantAccessBlockedError(500). This error usually occurs if:

    1. Your Microsoft 365 subscription (Exchange Online, M365 E3, etc.) was temporarily suspended due to non-payment or past-due status or you have paid the bill, but the payment has not yet propagated across Microsoft’s backend systems (can take up to 24 hours).
    2. The tenant status is still showing as “Disabled” or “Suspended” in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Sometimes, if you recently moved from a trial to a paid plan, the Exchange service provisioning can get stuck.

To resolve this, please try the following as a Global Admin:

    1. Verify Subscription and Billing:
      • Sign into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center at admin.microsoft.com.
      • Go to Billing > Your products to check for expired/suspended statuses.
      • Review Billing > Bills & payments for any overdue invoices—process payments if needed. Access may restore within hours, but allow up to 24 hours.
    2. Check User Licenses:
      • In the Admin Center, navigate to Users > Active users.
      • Ensure valid licenses (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Exchange Online) are assigned and active. Renew or reassign as necessary.

If the tenant is blocked due to billing hold, you must contact Microsoft 365 billing support.

    Hope this help.

The error TenantAccessBlockedException indicates that access to the tenant has been blocked, which can occur for several reasons, such as compliance issues, billing problems, or security concerns. Since this issue affects all users and occurs across multiple browsers and networks, it suggests a tenant-wide problem rather than an individual account issue.

    To resolve this, you should:

    1. Check the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Look for any alerts or notifications regarding tenant access or compliance issues that may need to be addressed.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: Since this is a tenant-wide issue, it is advisable to reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance in unblocking the tenant and restoring access to Exchange Online.
    3. Review Billing and Compliance: Ensure that there are no outstanding billing issues or compliance violations that could lead to tenant access being blocked.

Following these steps should help in diagnosing and resolving the issue.
