Sorry for this frustrating experience that you're encountering. That TokenNotFound message usually means Microsoft can’t match the 25-character key you entered to an eligible product in its database, most often because the key type is being redeemed on the wrong signal flow, or the key itself isn’t valid/eligible for online redemption.
Here are some suggestions you can try to resolve this issue:
1) Redeem the key on the correct redemption page (this matters)
For modern Office keys (Office 2021/2024 and similar), redeem only at setup.office.com, signed into the Microsoft account you want the license permanently tied to. Do not enter the key inside Word/Excel or on older redemption pages, those commonly trigger TokenNotFound.
If your key came specifically as “Microsoft 365” for home, use the setup flow referenced in Microsoft’s key error guidance (setup.office.com or Microsoft365.com/setup), and make sure the page matches what your card/email instructs.
2) Confirm the license actually attached to your account
After redemption, open account.microsoft.com/services and check whether the product appears as active under that same Microsoft account. If it’s not listed there, activation on the PC will not succeed.
3) Install Office from the account, not from the key
Once the license is visible in Services and subscriptions, install Office from that page and then sign into the Office apps using the same Microsoft account, activation should complete automatically without re-entering the key.
4) Rule out browser and network blockers
Redemption can fail if the browser blocks scripts/cookies or if a VPN/proxy interferes. Try an InPrivate window, allow cookies, disable VPN/proxy temporarily, or switch to another browser.
5) Make sure the key type matches what you’re trying to activate
If the key is a volume licensing key (MAK/KMS style), it is not meant for retail/OEM redemption flows and won’t redeem like a consumer key. In that case, activation must follow your organization’s volume licensing method instead of Office.com setup.
Hope this helps. Feel free to get back if you need further assistance.
