I have 2 product keys and thought I was merging the 2 into one account BUT it is not showing the correct time frame based on the 2 keys. I hope this makes sense and someone can help me.

You can pre-load a Microsoft 365 subscription for up to 5 years, if you have codes for two Microsoft 365 subscriptions for the exact same version (Personal or Family), if you add them one at a time to the same Microsoft account online, then that should extend your subscription expiry date up to two years, if you have performed that process and checked the expiry date on your subscription, does it not reflect the correct date, if not, log out of your account and back into your account to test if the correct expiry date is indicated.

If not, was there any error when you added the two separate codes to your account.

To merge two subscriptions in the Visual Studio subscriptions portal, you typically cannot directly merge them into one account. Each subscription operates independently, and the time frames are determined by the individual product keys associated with each subscription. If you're experiencing issues with the displayed time frame not reflecting what you expected from the two product keys, it may be due to the way the subscriptions are set up or recognized in the portal.

If you believe there is an error or if you need assistance with managing your subscriptions, it is recommended to contact the support team for help. They can provide guidance on how to address the discrepancies you're seeing with your subscriptions.
