Why do some of my Pinned plans have duplicate names? How do I correct this issue?

    Dear Dougherty, Laura Y ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for sharing the details of your issue. Based on the information provided, it appears that you are experiencing a concern in Microsoft Planner where the plan name appears to be duplicated.

From the screenshot you provided, the first line represents the name of the Planner plan, while the second line shows the display name of the associated SharePoint site or Microsoft Team connected to that plan. These two names can appear identical if the plan was created with the same name as the Team or SharePoint site. This is expected behavior when both names match.

For example, if a plan named “Mark8 project tracking” is created inside a Team called “Mark 8 Project Team,” Planner will display both lines using these names, which results in what may look like a duplicate from your side.

Please review your plan and Team/Site names once more to confirm whether they match. If you have any additional questions or if the issue still persists, feel free to let me know, I’m happy to help.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
