Do you currently have an active Microsoft 365 subscription linked to this account?

If you have an active Microsoft 365 subscription, you won’t be able to change the account country right away. You’ll need to cancel the subscription first, update your payment method and country/region, and then resubscribe.

Microsoft 365 subscription is tied to the country and currency where it was originally purchased. Because of that, the system won’t let you extend the subscription or set up auto-billing using a payment method from your new country.

What you can do instead is cancel your current subscription and wait for it to expire (or you can cancel it early if possible). Once it’s fully expired, you can purchase a new Microsoft 365 subscription using your correct country and billing information.

To change your account country in Microsoft 365, you cannot simply update the country/region for your existing account. Instead, you will need to sign up for a new account in the desired country/region and purchase a new subscription. This is because the country/region where your organization is headquartered affects the services available, taxes, billing currency, and data center location.

For updating your payment details and address, you can do this in the Microsoft 365 admin center. However, keep in mind that while you can change your billing addresses, the country/region itself cannot be changed without creating a new account.
