Windows 10 can be use for at least 2 more years with full support.
There is not immediate requirement to have Windows 11.
In case you want to install Windows 11 it can be installed either in a supported or unsupported mode.
For those that have computer where the windows update agent fails Windows 11 can be installed by:
a) modifying the registry and other files so that the update agent does not recognize the failures to have supported CPU, TPM, Drive, BIOS, Secure Boot, etc.
b) backing up important files to another disk drive or the cloud followed by clean install and restoration of the important files
Those that install Windows 11 in the unsupported mode may not benefit from increased performance and security.
And Windows or Microsoft Defender may be problematic as the installation was unsupported.
The are multiple websites where end users have installed Windows 11 on very old hardware.
This includes desktops, laptops, and tablets.
And multiple websites reported that both automatic Windows and Microsoft Defender updates were successful.
