Why does my Intel Core i7-7700 that does have the TPM chipset not qualify for Windows 11?

MY fully defined processor type is as follows:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz.

According to the published Windows 11 minimum hardware requirements and tables, this CPU should be acceptable. However, Windows PC Health Check is flagging this CPU as not qualifying. Please advise.
Thanks

    Hi there,

You need a minimum 8th generation processor for Windows 11. You can check the below link for the supported Intel processor.

OEMs may use the following CPUs for new Windows 11 devices. New Windows 11 devices must use modern device drivers which have passed the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program for Windows 11 or the latest available modern device drivers based on Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps (DCH) design principles.

What TPM version does the processor have? See Enable TPM 2.0 on your PC. Probably your processor does not have TPM 2.0.

However, Windows PC Health Check is flagging this CPU as not qualifying

This is because Intel Core i7-7700 is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft. It is not on list of supported processors:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

AFAIK, you may be able to upgrade manually, but you may not receive updates for Windows 11.

FYI - TPM is not a part of a CPU. It is a separate chip on your motherboard.
