Unfortunately, it’s not possible to transfer game data, purchases, or account ownership from one Microsoft account to another. Based on how these services are structured, Xbox profiles, game licenses, achievements, cloud saves, and Minecraft ownership are all attached to the Microsoft account that originally used or purchased them. There isn’t a supported way to move or merge this data into a different Microsoft account.
Because of this, there is no direct method to migrate Xbox progress, achievements, or Minecraft ownership to a different Microsoft account.
I know that’s not the answer you were hoping for, especially after years of progress and memories tied to that account. What you can do in this situation is:
- Keep using the old account only for the existing games and progress already tied to it (almost like a “legacy game account”).
- Set up a new personal account for the child going forward, making sure all new purchases and playtime happen under that new account.
