Azure Wordpress tutorial creation failure

Service policy failure in Sandbox
This is part of the tutorial using the Sandbox.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/azure-architecture-fundamentals/exercise-create-website

I'm logged into my account and this is the error that returned on create.

I tried to create a support ticket but, can't.

How can I get help with this?

Thanks

Hello,

It drives me crazy, I do not have the choice of the App Service Plan in Wordpress it creates its own service plan ...

Hi.

The tutorial tells you to select "S1" when creating the App Service Plan, but from your error log it looks like you haven't selected S1. Can you confirm it?

@TakahitoIwasa Thank you for the response. :) Using the F1 pricing tier is a requirement of the sandbox system when one creates this WordPress site within the MS Learn Sandbox. Please check my response below with the additional details.

@ArisDennard-1064 Thanks for reaching out. This error had occurred because you seem to have selected the S1 pricing tier, instead of the recommended F1, resulting in the PolicyViolation error. Please note that using the F1 pricing tier is a requirement of the sandbox system when you create this WordPress site within the MS Learn Sandbox.

While creating the WordPress website, the Spec Picker opens with the S1 pricing tier selected by default:

You will need to select the F1 pricing tier from the Dev / Test tab for this website:

This is also mentioned in a Note at the bottom of the Create a WordPress website section:

I followed the guidance in the exercise as is and was able to launch a WordPress website as shown below:

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have further questions.

I am having the same problem with this exercise, and there is not an option to select the App Service Plan. I came to the same conclusion about the source of the error and even created an App Service Plan separately within the resource group at the F1 price level, but I don't have the option to select the App Service Plan anywhere during the exercise.

@bhargaviannadevara-msft Here's a view later in the process, and you're quite clearly correct about the App Service Plan being a problem. However, there is still no way to modify this setting. Also note that there was no point to select the DB provider. The exercise instructions specify to select DB in App.139108-wordpress-failed-create-redact.png

I'm pretty sure the tutorial is old, and we can't create a ressource as easily as before, maybe we have to create an App Plan before, eventhough I tried it and it fail ...

@DavidRobinson-9532 @QuentinChotard-1510 First off, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the inconvenience this experience has caused to you. We've received similar reports from some other customers as well. Here is a related thread.

Quoting @ElliottHamai-6773's response from the linked post:

We recently pushed out a change to the Wordpress on App Service creation experience which simplifies the configuration for Wordpress.

In the old experience you needed to specify database information, but in the new experience that is no longer required. Instead, we now choose a configuration that we know will work well for you to run Wordpress with the least amount of issues.

While that happens, we're reworking the MS Learn modules to accommodate these changes to continue to be able to run the exercise within the sandbox environments.

We shall keep you posted on further updates, and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

@bhargaviannadevara-msft HI there, was there ever an update on this? The instructions on the Azure Foundamentals course on coursera still require to specificy database and app service plan, but that is no longer possible. I am getting exactly the same screens as DavidRobinson-9532 above. Many thanks in advance!
