Building and customizing solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot APIs and tools
If you are unable to start transcribing meetings despite having a Copilot license, there are a few things to check:
- Transcription Policy: Ensure that your organization's transcription policy is set to allow transcription. You can manage this in the Teams admin center under Meetings > Meeting Policies. The transcription setting should be enabled for your policy.
- Account Type: Since you mentioned that you have a personal account with a company email address, it's important to verify that your account is properly configured for business use. Sometimes, personal accounts may not have access to certain enterprise features.
- Copilot Settings: Make sure that the Copilot feature is enabled for your user account. You can check this in the Teams admin center under the same meeting policies section mentioned above.
- Contact Support: If you've checked the above settings and still cannot access transcription, it may be helpful to reach out to your IT administrator or Microsoft support for assistance. They can access backend data and help resolve any account-specific issues.
If you continue to face issues, consider checking back later, as the rollout of features can sometimes take time to reach all accounts.
