To restore missing data in OneDrive, you can use the Files Restore feature, which allows you to revert your OneDrive files to any point in time over the past 30 days. Here’s how you can do it:
- Log into OneDrive: Go to the OneDrive website and sign in to your account.
- Access Files Restore: Look for the Files Restore option, which presents a histogram showing file activity. This will help you select a recovery time.
- Select a Restore Point: Choose the date when you know your data was still available.
- Confirm Restoration: Once you select the desired recovery point, confirm the restoration, and all changes made after that point will be rolled back.
If the data is not available in the Files Restore option, you should also check the Recycle Bin on OneDrive online, as deleted files are kept there for a designated time before being permanently deleted. For work or school accounts, deleted files are retained for 93 days unless configured otherwise.
If you still cannot find your files, you may want to consider contacting your SharePoint admin if applicable, as they may have access to additional recovery options or backups.
