    Hi @Bail, Jenny (Alexis)

Thank you for posting your question in the Q&A Forum.

I'm sorry to hear that your email view changed unexpectedly. I know how confusing it can be when your settings disappear, so you might want to try these steps to see if they help bring your layout back:

    • Reset View: Under the View tab at the top, you can click Reset View. (If this is greyed out, it means you're already on the default setting).
    • Change View: On the same View tab, click Change View and try selecting "Compact" or any view you may have saved before.
    • Group by Sender: If your emails aren't grouped by person, you can go to View > View Settings > Group By... and see if it's set to "From".

Hopefully, one of these will work for you. If it’s still not looking right, let me know and we can explore other options to restore your custom formatting.

It sounds like the view settings in your Outlook email may have been altered, which can happen if a filter was applied to the default view settings of the folder. To restore your specific settings, you can check and modify the filtering options. Here’s how you can do that in Outlook 2010 and later versions:

    1. In the ribbon, select the View tab.
    2. In the Current View area, select View Settings.
    3. Select Filter, and then review the tabs for any selections that could filter out specific messages, such as Tasks, More Choices, or Advanced.

This should help you regain control over how your emails are displayed and restore your previous settings.
