Mouse Without Borders Cursor Size Issue

I am having an issue using Mouse Without Borders where upon restart of the slave machine I'm left with a large cursor. The cursor also gets hidden behind the start menu. I've verified all settings both in the control panel and mouse settings are as they should be. If I connect a mouse to the slave machine the cursor goes back to normal, and I can then disconnect the mouse and resume using MWB with no issue. I assume it's an issue with MWB drawing the cursor and/or no physical mouse being recognized. It always happens upon Restart of the slave machine. It USUALLY does not happen when using Shut Down and then starting the computer again, and that even fixes the issue sometimes. I say sometimes because there have been a few instances when the issue has happened when using Shut Down rather than Restart. I'm not sure what the variables were that caused it but I can test and report what I find. Both machines are running Windows 11. I downloaded MWB via Garage not PowerToys if that matters.

    Hello Sean Faherty,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on what you described, the issue usually happens when you restart the slave PC (and sometime even when shutdown). This could come from the settings of the apps, when the physical mouse is not present, the apps might need to draw a cursor from the software itself.

Before we go further, please try this quick fix.

On the slave PC, go to Settings > Accessibility > Mouse and turn on Mouse keys. It will make Windows think the mouse is a point device and prevent switching the cursor when the physical mouse is not present.
