Hello, good day and thanks for your question. To add to the above, may I check and confirm if this is for Office 2024 or Microsoft 365?

If your product key is showing as already in use, it may be due to the previous installation still being associated with that key. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Background Permissions: Ensure that the necessary background services for Microsoft Office are allowed in your macOS settings. Go to System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions and check that "Microsoft Corporation" and "Microsoft Office Licensing" are turned ON.
    2. Uninstall Existing Applications: If you have any remnants of Microsoft Office installed, uninstall them completely. Open Finder > Applications, select all Microsoft Office applications, and move them to Trash. Then, empty your Trash.
    3. Reinstall Office: Sign in to your Microsoft account associated with the Office purchase. Go to the Services & Subscriptions section and find Office. Click on Install to download the correct version tied to your license.
    4. Activate Office: Once installed, open an Office application and sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate it.

If you continue to experience issues, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
