Hi,

I am having trouble getting to technical support. I get to the point where it says that I need to log in, but it won't let me log in. I go through the process of logging in and it comes back to that same screen. I can log in to my main Microsoft account without any trouble. If I go from there, where I'm logged in, and then try to contact technical support, it logs me out and won't let me log back in. I've tried multiple approaches, different browsers, and different days. It's really frustrating.

Thank you for your help!

Welcome LoriH,

"Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data."

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you are unable to sign in when trying to contact Microsoft technical support, and the sign‑in process keeps looping back even though you can access your main Microsoft account successfully.

To help resolve this as quickly as possible, could you please confirm the following details

  • Are you signing in with a personal Microsoft account, or a work or school account when attempting to contact support?
  • Does the sign‑in loop occur only when accessing the Contact Support page, or also when visiting account.microsoft.com directly?

In the meantime, you can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: Open a private or incognito browser window and go directly to Contact - Microsoft Support

Step 2: If the issue persists, sign out of all Microsoft sessions by going to account.microsoft.com, scroll down, and choose to sign out everywhere, then restart the browser and try again

Step 3: Temporarily disable browser extensions, especially ad blockers or privacy extensions, and retry the sign‑in process

Step 4:  If you are using saved sign‑in profiles in the browser, remove the Microsoft account profile and sign in again manually

Step 5: Try signing in using Microsoft Edge if you have mainly been using another browser

I really hope that the information I gave above was helpful to you. Please feel free to reply below and let me know if you have further concern on this matter.
