Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Thank you for reaching out regarding your question on adding a second domain to your Microsoft 365 account.
After reviewing the details you shared and the official documentation from Microsoft, it appears that the information provided by the Q&A Assist aligns with Microsoft 365’s supported behavior. A single Microsoft 365 tenant can have multiple custom domains added and verified. Once verified, both domains can be used within the same tenant, and users can be assigned email addresses associated with either domain as needed.
Additionally, if you are referring to adding a domain to another account with a different domain (for example, using a second account in Outlook). In this case, in the Outlook desktop app, you can add multiple email accounts even if they belong to different domains and use them at the same time within the same Outlook application. Each account remains separate, with its own mailbox, folders, and calendar, and you can choose which account to send from when composing emails.
In Outlook on the web, however, only one account can be signed in per browser session. To work with another account that uses a different domain, you would need to use a separate browser profile.
