Hi,

My boss purchased the basic windows 365 monthly sub and we don't know how to access it or where it lives. He might've put the wrong email in for confirmation so we didn't receive a receipt or anything.

Can someone contact me by email (******@feelbeautiful.com) to locate that purchase and to assist in letting me know the correct login information to access the account, please.

Thank you,

Brit Brown

    Hi Brit Brown ,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. I understand how confusing it can be when a subscription is purchased but you’re unable to locate or access it.

Here are the correct next steps to help you resolve this:

    1. Check which account was used for the purchase

Windows 365 is a business subscription, and it is tied to the work or school account that was created or signed in during purchase.

If your boss has access to any Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, etc.), they can:

Open an app (for example, Word)

    Go to File > Account

Under Product Information, check which email address the product is licensed to

This often reveals the exact account that owns the subscription.

    2. Try signing in to Services & Subscriptions

Have your boss try signing in with any email addresses that might have been used at purchase (including possible typos) at:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

Only the account used during purchase will show the Windows 365 subscription.

    3. Contact Microsoft Support directly (required)

If the confirmation email was sent to an incorrect address or the account cannot be identified, only Microsoft Support can locate the subscription using payment details and verify ownership.

You can contact Microsoft Support here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

Select Windows 365 or Microsoft 365

    Choose Billing / Subscription

Sign in with any Microsoft account if prompted (it does not have to be the owning account)

Alternatively, you can find Microsoft’s regional phone numbers here:

    https://support.microsoft.com/help/28808

I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Once Microsoft Support helps identify the correct account, you should be able to access and manage the Windows 365 subscription normally.

Because this involves locating a specific purchase and confirming account details, only Microsoft’s official support and recovery processes can help.

    Use these steps:

    1. Identify the correct account type
      • If this is a Windows 365 Business subscription purchased for work, it is a Microsoft 365 for business product and is tied to a work or school account created when the subscription was bought.
    2. Check which account was used
      • If any Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are installed on a PC your boss uses, open one of them and check which account is licensed:
        1. Open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.
        2. Select File.
        3. Select Account.
        4. Under Product Information, look for the account name the product is licensed to. This is usually the work account associated with the subscription.
    3. If the username/account is unknown
      • For Microsoft 365 for business, the work or school account is the email the organization assigned. If the username is forgotten or was mistyped at purchase time, the admin (your boss, if they set it up) needs to:
        • Use the guidance in “I forgot the account I use with Microsoft 365” for business to locate the account, or
        • Contact Microsoft support as the subscription owner.
    4. If the email/username cannot be recovered
      • Use the Sign-in Helper and account recovery options to look up the Microsoft account or reset access if needed:
        • If the password is forgotten or the username is not recognized, follow the steps under “I can't sign in to my Microsoft account”:
          • Use the Sign-in Helper tool to diagnose sign-in issues and guide through recovery.
          • If the username has stopped working or the account cannot be found, follow the linked guidance in that article.
    5. Check for the subscription/charge
      • Once the correct account is identified and access is restored, sign in to the Services & subscriptions or Payment & billing page for that account to confirm the Windows 365/ Microsoft 365 subscription and see its status.
    6. If none of the above works
      • Because this is a billing/ownership issue and the email may have been entered incorrectly at purchase, direct contact with Microsoft Support is required. Use any working Microsoft account (even a newly created one) to:
        • Go to the Microsoft Support contact page.
        • Choose the Microsoft 365 & Office or business category.
        • Select a billing/subscription topic and use Chat with a support agent or request a callback.
      • Provide:
        • Business name
        • Approximate purchase date
        • Payment method details (last 4 digits, amount, and currency)
        • Any possible email addresses your boss might have used

Support can then look up the subscription and confirm the correct tenant and admin account. For privacy and security reasons, this cannot be done via a public forum and no one here can email or access the subscription directly.
