Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Dear Antony Newnes,
Good day to you and thanks for your post in Microsoft Q&A. I'm sorry for the inconvenience you've encountered. To better assist you, could you please provide more details such as:
- I would like to reconfirm about the type of your account you use. It is personal or created by organization - school/company?
- Could you please share more details about your issue? Are you unable to click the reply button, or is the send button grayed out? If not, please help me describe it clearly so that I can understand the situation. Providing some screenshots of the issue would be ideal.
- Which platform Outlook do you use? Desktop app or web app? Classic or new Outlook?
- What version Outlook do you use?
Regarding your issue, I would like to suggest you some basic tips that you can consider if you are using desktop app:
- Run Outlook in Safe Mode (to rule out add-ins)
- Press Windows key + R > Type outlook.exe /safe > press Enter
- Repair Outlook/Office Installation
- Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features).
- Find Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365, click the three dots (or right-click), and select Modify/Repair.
- Choose Quick Repair first (online if prompted), then restart your PC. If needed, try Online Repair next.
- Clear Outlook Cache
- Close Outlook, press Windows + R, type %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook and delete the contents (safe, but back up if concerned).
If you are using the web application, please try clearing the browser cache.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience. I look forward to your information and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me - I’ll be happy to assist you. Wishing you a wonderful day.
